Bonnie Gregor spends more than three hours in Costa Coffee at the airport before her flight to São Paulo. She almost leaves earlier out of self-consciousness, but stays when the staff change over, buys a muffin, and uses the time to think about her future. Bonnie emails Felicity out of caution and politeness, then reflects that the twenty thousand pounds she has could help her invest in her own brand instead of only working for other companies.

When check-in opens, Bonnie joins the queue and feels optimistic about what might come next. She imagines returning from São Paulo, going back to Letchworth, and asking Felicity to help her plan the next stage of her business. At the desk, Bonnie jokes with the clerk, checks in her suitcase, and confirms that she packed both pieces of luggage herself.

Just as the clerk is labelling Bonnie's leather holdall, a disturbance breaks out in the queue. An older man forces his way to the front despite complaints from other passengers. Bonnie is about to protest when the man grabs the holdall from the belt.

Bonnie then sees that the man is with Felicity Woollaston, who has also rushed to the desk. Felicity apologizes and tells Bonnie that she was booked on the wrong flight. Tony removes Bonnie's other case as well, stopping the check-in process completely.

The check-in clerk asks whether everything is all right, and Bonnie accepts Felicity's explanation. Felicity says she got Bonnie's email just in time, and Tony adds that roadworks delayed them. With Bonnie's luggage reclaimed and her departure interrupted, Felicity leads Bonnie away from the desk for coffee and a private conversation.
