Carl and Princess Donut appear on Odette’s show inside a production trailer dressed to look like a large theater in flooded Larracos. The audience watches highlights of a submerged viceroy from Team Madness being eaten by sharks, and Odette explains the Semeru keep the castle area submerged and regularly feed mercenaries and players into the pit.

Odette says several factions have filed complaints, arguing Carl’s destruction of the Desperado Club should count as an attack and merit sanctions. Carl argues the trapped officials inside the Desperado could have died and regenerated anytime, but chose to hide, drink, and gamble while their teams worked; forcing them out ultimately puts them back into the game.

Odette pivots to Faction Wars logistics and notes face-to-face meetings are suspended, with voting now done via interface. She reveals that rejected-by-system action items are visible, briefly showing one from Donut proposing renaming Crown Prince Stalwart “Captain Enormous,” which Carl declines to explain after checking with Quasar.

Odette then displays three rejected Emergency Action Items submitted by Warlord Empress D’Nadia of the Prism: deleting all NPCs on the Larracos level, disallowing crawlers from participating in Faction Wars, and removing or deleting Carl and Donut. Donut is furious, realizing D’Nadia attempted to erase them from the game without a vote, and Odette explains each team only gets three such emergency submissions and others spent theirs earlier.

Odette uses the revelation to introduce a new mechanic: each team needs an adjutant, a protected, physically present third-party referee/consultant who can clarify rules, call fouls, and provide daily on-air recaps. Carl—mindful of Harbinger’s warning about privileged information and the stakes of choosing correctly—says he is open to suggestions, and Odette announces she cannot serve as an adjutant this season, offering three candidates instead.
