A note by Crawler Porthus explains that an evicted demon inhabiting a shell is not normal ghost possession: once a demon takes a body, the original host is effectively destroyed, the creature is highly dangerous, healing can backfire, and teleporting the shell can free the demon’s true form. Carl then reviews his current active deck and recalls a sponsor note implying Samantha could enhance spells, something Samantha previously denied.

Carl’s plan is to have Samantha bite Sister Ines so Carl can drop the xistera extension and summon them into a controlled card battle. Instead, the summon drags an entire beach-wide cluster to Carl and Princess Donut: Samantha, Sister Ines, the level-125 city boss snake Madre de Aguas, thousands of zombie seals and crabs, masses of living sea life, and many corpses.

Sister Ines had been casting a massive, poetry-themed charm through her bard skills, controlling the boss snake and thus surrounding creatures, including zombies. The chaotic mass-teleport breaks the charm, mixing confused living factions with reawakening undead. Carl notices corpses labeled as “Former shell of the Now-Freed demon” (including Azireth), realizing teleporting demon-inhabited shells brought only bodies while freeing multiple full-power Sheol demons elsewhere on the island. With Demon Eviction still active, more nearby zombies begin converting, including a fish flagged with “Jarmagog Comes.”

The un-charmed Madre de Aguas awakens furious, already afflicted with “pre-zombism,” while Sister Ines laughs from atop the snake with Samantha still clamped onto her arm. The world freezes as a “B-b-b-b-b-boss battle! Survival Royale Special Event!” begins, and announcers Kevin and Magnificent Troy appear in a sky window, explaining how Carl’s earlier actions helped seed an ocean-wide zombie outbreak that accelerated the Demon Eviction event and disrupted Sister Ines’s control.

Kevin breaks down the battlefield into competing groups and warns that the broken charm and demon eviction mean multiple factions will clash at once. Donut receives an allegiance choice and asks Carl what to do; Carl instructs Donut to mark Sister Ines as an ally to avoid triggering a card battle and to enable a fast escape. Sister Ines rants that the crawl is demonic deception and hell is taking everyone, while Carl pleads for cooperation so the demons do not drag her away; the chapter ends as all allyships lock in, a new Book of Voodoo entry notes Quan Ch, and the battle begins.
