The dungeon-wide card battle begins, showing each team’s deck count. Carl realizes the group must attack by killing Amayon’s six totems to free him, while also defending by keeping Ysalte’s deck from running dry for ten minutes, because she can’t be harmed directly but can unleash a devastating spell once out of cards. With potions cursed into vinegar, Carl still stashes a few behind Donut, and the team spreads out as Elle warns more demons are pressing up from below.

The fight erupts into chaos as multiple totems slam into the already-cracking floor. Li Na summons the headless warrior Xing Tian, Katia summons the infant-skull raven Annie and locks it in with Timeless, and Ysalte summons a heavily buffed Yago monk seal—who immediately crashes through the collapsing floor. Amayon rapidly dumps more totems into play, including two inferior demons and a powerful succubus nest queen, Naamah, who targets Carl.

Naamah blitzes Carl, pins him, and tries to bite through his defenses; Carl’s shield shatters her fangs, and he accidentally drinks vinegar while attempting a potion before switching to a heal spell. A stolen card from Amayon—taken by Donut’s Thief—proves crucial: Banjo the Hell Scrub (under their flag) drags Naamah off and tears into her, freeing Carl to rejoin the battle as the building continues to break apart and combat reports from Louis, Tran, and the others worsen.

The team kills Amayon’s demon totems, and Carl pushes to finish the last remaining totem (a rock creature) so Amayon can be spoken to. Donut uses Force Discard to delete Amayon’s final card, finally leaving him empty and ready for release once the last totem is handled. But Ysalte counters with Raid Stash, stealing one card from each player—including inactive totems—and immediately throws the stolen totems into play, including a dangerous, leveled-up Frank Q who confronts Carl.

A distant explosion and Tran’s message reveal Tran has struck the rock creature, but before the match can resolve, time freezes with seven minutes still on the clock. A quest update explains Amayon is trapped in true form: he lacks power and the world lacks enough souls to fuel his spell, so the party must refill the world with souls and then power Amayon up, while also preventing him from attempting an alternative spell. As the match is set to resume in thirty seconds, Carl orders everyone to stall Amayon and tells Donut to message him when she draws the needed card so she can cast Midnight Express, while Carl prepares to sprint toward the frozen Samantha and attempt a risky move to avoid falling.
