Lucy goes upstairs in her parents' house and notices again how uncomfortable her father is around her. On the way to her mother's room, Lucy thinks about her ex, Nathan, and is unsettled by how much his nervousness resembled her father's.

In the bedroom, Lucy finds her mother resting with a broken leg in a cast. The conversation shifts when Lucy's mother says Lucy should feel free to go out in town because she has already told several people Lucy is back.
