After EJ loses consciousness from the Ativan Adrienne mixed into the Cheval Blanc, Adrienne briefly considers killing him to end the blackmail permanently. She rejects that idea because EJ’s visit to her office would make her an obvious suspect, so she texts Luke and focuses on destroying the evidence instead.

Adrienne unlocks EJ’s phone with his thumbprint and searches through it. She finds shirtless and nude selfies, then disturbing photos of herself taken without permission outside her home, which confirms how extensively EJ has been stalking her. She also finds the parking-lot video of herself slashing a tire, watches it again, and becomes certain it would ruin her if EJ kept it.

When Luke arrives, Adrienne orders him to delete the video from EJ’s phone and warns him not to watch it. After Luke removes it, Adrienne gives him EJ’s house keys and insists that he go to EJ’s home, get into EJ’s computer, and erase any copy there as well. Luke resists, arguing that drugging EJ, breaking into his house, and hacking his computer are serious crimes, but Adrienne emotionally pressures him until he reluctantly agrees.

While Luke is gone, Adrienne stays with the unconscious EJ, repeatedly checking that he is still alive and worrying both about the drug dose and about whether Luke will succeed. More than an hour later, Luke calls and says he deleted the video from EJ’s computer, but he refuses to discuss what happened and speaks in a cold, flat tone. When Adrienne says she loves him, Luke ends the call, leaving Adrienne relieved that EJ’s leverage is gone but terrified that forcing Luke into this may have damaged or ended their relationship.
