Overwhelmed, Tegan retreats to the bathroom, enduring a brief contraction. Jackson enters, and Tegan explains that her memory was triggered by Simon’s smell. Jackson questions her recollection and insists she sign for her own financial security, hedging when asked if he believes her.

Tegan returns, refuses the nondisclosure agreement, and says she’ll go to the police. Simon complains Jackson was supposed to “handle” her. Disgusted by both men, Tegan demands they leave.
