She confronts him, chases him into the hall, and—with help from a bespectacled man—subdues him until security intervenes. Polly escapes before her deception is discovered, realizing she saved Tegan’s life.
Summary
Polly arrives at the hospital in scrubs with an ID badge, gripping hidden shears and steeling herself to kill Tegan to protect Hank. She checks the room list, ignores frantic texts from Hank, and heads to Room 308, determined yet wavering.
Inside, Polly finds Tegan asleep and bandaged—and the man who claimed to be Tegan’s brother attempting to attach a syringe to Tegan’s IV. Realizing his intent is malicious, Polly challenges him. He bolts from the room, forcing Polly to give chase.
Polly catches his collar in the hallway, slowing him long enough for a tall, bespectacled man to pin him against the wall. When asked what happened, Polly reports the attempted IV injection. Security arrives, retrieves the syringe from the man’s pocket, and treats Polly’s account as credible because of her apparent nursing status.
When the guard thanks her by name, Polly realizes her badge exposes her identity and quietly slips away before anyone probes her credentials or past. She acknowledges she could not bring herself to harm Tegan and, instead, has saved her life.
