Tegan fears amputation after overhearing staff mention she might lose the foot, but she focuses on her baby’s safety.

Dr. Tewari adds that police want to speak with Tegan and report her car was tampered with before the crash. Shocked, Tegan connects the sabotage to those who wanted to silence her and resolves to talk to the police—about the crash and about being held by Hank and Polly.

Dennis arrives, exhausted from days spent pressuring police and searching. Overwhelmed, Tegan cannot yet recount what happened; Dennis reassures her they will talk when she’s ready. His presence gives her some comfort amid the medical uncertainty.

Dennis relays that Jackson Bruckner is in the waiting room claiming to be a friend. Tegan clarifies he only helped with Simon Lamar’s contract and refuses to see him. As another contraction grips her, she worries about hospital costs and the possibility of losing her foot, briefly wishing the ordeal hadn’t forced her to confront Simon’s assault.
