In Ellis's room at the Radisson, Katarina and Heath finally get a brief respite after the terror in their own hotel room. The room's bland anonymity feels safe, so Katarina takes her first hot shower in days, improvises an ice pack for her swollen foot, and Heath sets up music. Both of them take Heath's painkillers, hoping to dull their lingering physical pain.
