Lisa is alarmed and urges Paula to speak to a professional, specifically mentioning a Dr. Donnelly whom Paula has apparently seen before. Paula deflects, insisting she's fine, though she privately admits her thoughts are growing darker and more disturbing — she fears that if anyone knew what she was thinking, her children would be taken from her.

Paula reflects on having attended another double funeral at this same cathedral the previous year, for a colleague's parents killed in a car accident caused by another driver — a detail that reminds her of the young girl from the flight whose prediction came true. Just as her phone call with Lisa ends, Paula spots a young woman crossing the road in a black dress that's too big for her. She recognizes her as the bride from the plane — Eve — and quickly gets out of the car to approach her.
