In Silo 18, Walker, Shirly, and Courtnee wait in the generator control room while fighting continues outside. Courtnee watches Jenkins and armed men push into the generator room, and everyone fears the radio has failed just as their position is collapsing.

The radio suddenly comes alive, and Walker realizes Juliette is answering from far away. Juliette confirms she is alive in another silo, and Walker tells her that people in Silo 18 can hear transmissions from the other silos. The brief reunion is emotional, but the crisis in Mechanical immediately takes over the conversation.

Shirly takes the radio and explains that some of their people are routing the exhaust feed into IT's cooling vents as part of their plan. Juliette urgently tells Shirly to stop them because the vents only cool the servers and will not harm the people in IT. Because Juliette now knows Silo 17 is laid out like Silo 18, she understands the plan will fail; Courtnee runs out to warn the others.

Juliette then admits she cannot send help. She says she has only one man and some children with her, and that the people in her silo are gone. Hearing gunfire grow closer, Juliette begs Shirly and the others to stop the fighting and not let more people die because of her return.

Courtnee comes back in fear as the shooting intensifies. Shirly, realizing they are about to be overrun, can only tell Juliette she is glad Juliette is alive. Walker keeps trying to maintain contact while Juliette asks to speak to the deputies, but it is too late: Shirly and Courtnee watch Mechanical's defenders fall in the generator room as Jenkins's forces take control.
