Whitney prepares cookies and dusts flour on her shirt as an excuse to leave Blake alone with Quillizabeth, the psychic she recruited to visit under the guise of renting. When Whitney returns, Blake looks desperate to end the interaction, and Quillizabeth abruptly declares the place too small and refuses to rent.

Quillizabeth asks to speak privately with Whitney, but Whitney presses her to speak in front of Blake. Quillizabeth blurts out that Blake is going to kill Whitney (whom she calls Krista), saying he will stab her with a kitchen knife in the living room. Blake reacts with panic and tries to usher Quillizabeth out, while Quillizabeth recoils and insists her visions are never wrong.

Whitney escorts Quillizabeth outside intending to tip her, pleased by the performance as setup for Amanda’s upcoming viewing. Outside, Quillizabeth urgently insists that her warning was not an act and describes a powerful vision of Blake crouched over Whitney’s dead body and blood on the floor. She grips Whitney’s wrist and tells her to leave immediately.

Whitney is unsettled by Quillizabeth’s certainty but ultimately rejects the warning, asserting she is fine and ending the conversation. After some hesitation, Quillizabeth departs with a fearful look. Whitney watches to make sure she leaves the block.

Alone, Whitney reflects that although she thought psychic visions were fake, Quillizabeth might have a real gift because something terrible will happen in the house. Whitney closes the chapter by confirming her intention: it will not be Blake killing her, but Whitney standing over Blake’s body.
