Navani, stabbed and weakening, flees toward Urithiru’s pillar as Moash stalks her, taunting about Elhokar and his own freedom from pain. When Moash pauses over Raboniel’s body, the mortally wounded Fused seizes him and repeatedly stabs with the reversed dagger, draining his Stormlight and buying Navani precious moments.

Navani reaches the crystal pillar and calls to the Sibling. Instead of the usual whimpering, she hears a strange, mixed tone—the Rhythm of War—hinting at a new resonance between them even as her strength fails.

High above, Dalinar—Lashed by Lyn—senses through the Stormfather that “the Son of Tanavast” has entered the storm for the last time. Kaladin plummets without Stormlight, releases Syl’s hand, and surrenders, believing himself too weak and empty to speak his next Ideal. Dalinar persuades the Stormfather to slow time at the instant between moments.

On the tower’s lower levels, the Pursuer’s troops move to kill helpless Radiants, but a desperate civilian revolt erupts, led by a gruff one‑armed man and others who block the way with their bodies. Venli begs Leshwi to stop the slaughter; Leshwi says only Raboniel can countermand the order. Prompted by Timbre, Venli draws Stormlight and glows, causing Leshwi to seize her in alarm.

Suspended in the timeless place, the Stormfather confronts Kaladin’s despair, calling Odium’s temptation a lie. Kaladin tries to fight but admits there is nothing left. Determined to help, Dalinar senses a warm presence in the same realm used for his visions, then forges a bond—“Connecting him, uniting him”—as the Stormfather demands to know with what.
