In Urithiru, Shallan and Dalinar combine Lightweaving and Bondsmith Connection to project a living map of Roshar for the Mink, who examines coalition and singer deployments on both fronts.

Reviewing Emul/Makabak and the Alethkar–Jah Keved border, the Mink quickly infers Dalinar’s distrust of Taravangian and concludes an Alethkar offensive would be a costly mistake. He advises a decisive push in Emul, where the enemy is landlocked and supply-strained, to consolidate Makabak and achieve a morale-boosting victory.

After the Mink departs to study detailed reports, Dalinar confides his fear of an unwinnable war. Wit insists Odium will not compromise. Jasnah argues for emancipating all slaves, including ardents, despite Dalinar’s concerns about upheaval; she intends to refine the proposal with highprince feedback and proceed.

Wit returns with Heralds Shalash (Ash) and Talenelat (Taln). Ash states the Oathpact is broken—Jezrien was killed permanently—and that she knows little of Bondsmith mechanics, which were Ishar’s domain. Jasnah and Dalinar discuss the need to stabilize Makabak, then approach the Shin for knowledge gained from centuries with Honorblades.

Dalinar accepts the logic: prepare a major offensive in Emul, strengthen the coalition, and—once secure—seek the Shin to learn more about Bondsmith powers and possible paths to sealing the enemy. Jasnah signals she will personally attend the Emul campaign if launched.
