In a world-swallowing black storm, Kaladin Stormblessed erupts into motion, surrounded by exultant windspren. He commands them to find Lirin and carves a tunnel of calm through the tempest. As Kaladin stacks Lashings and dives, windspren slam into him, forming a glowing gauntlet and living Plate, and he reaches for the distant, tumbling figure of his father.

Meanwhile, at the tower’s pillar, Navani reels as the Sibling calls her unworthy. Bleeding and desperate as Moash approaches, she inverts Odium’s rhythm into anti‑Voidlight through Intent, briefly driving back the darkness and freezing Moash, though her song alone is not enough. The Sibling hears Cultivation’s tone but laments Honor’s absence; Navani insists Honor lives in the hearts of his children.

Navani then draws forth the pure tone of Honor and, together with the Sibling’s Lifelight, snaps the two into harmony—structure and growth—creating the Tower’s true song, an “emulsifier” between humans and spren. As Moash seizes her, the Sibling accepts Navani’s Words, surging Bondsmith power through her as she creates Light and declares, “Journey before destination, you bastard.”

Back in the storm, Lirin finds himself suspended within a column of windspren light, held by Kaladin in radiant, responsive Shardplate marked with Bridge Four glyphs. Father and son embrace and accept that their paths—protector and healer—are both valid. Lirin reveals a painted shash glyph on his own brow; as they speak, Kaladin’s slave brands flake away. They resolve to return and protect the people in Urithiru, each in their own way.
