Over coffee, Scarlett candidly shares her submissive kink history and offers Penelope support for navigating mismatched desires with Lukas. The talk clarifies their incompatibility and foreshadows a likely breakup or restructuring.
Summary
Scarlett meets Penelope at Coupa Café and, surprising even herself, openly discloses her sexual history and interest in kink as a submissive. She offers to be a resource for Penelope, who is struggling with Lukas’s desires, and clarifies she hasn’t spoken to Lukas but understands mismatched preferences.
Pressed by Penelope, Scarlett explains how she discovered these interests and practiced them safely with her high school boyfriend, Josh, using negotiation and a safe word. She describes valuing structure and clear direction, and addresses concerns about feminism by emphasizing consent and choice.
Penelope shares that Lukas wants to be in charge but that, after trying it for him, she hated being told what to do. She told Lukas, and he immediately stopped and never pushed again, though she believes he still wants it. Scarlett validates that boundary and the importance of compatibility.
Penelope then admits she wants to flirt, have fun, and sleep with other people, saying she wouldn’t be jealous and believes she and Lukas are “meant to be” regardless. Called away to a study group, Penelope rushes off but returns to thank Scarlett for the nonjudgmental conversation and to say she’s glad Scarlett is back on the team.
