Sora wakes in Ty’s arms, basking in the intimacy of the night before and briefly imagining abandoning the assassination to stay with him. She rejects the fantasy, reminding herself that her life is built on missions, and that today is the day their plan culminates.

As Sora begins preparing—aware they must attend tea with the northern count at noon and later the tuhko game—Ty suddenly cries out for her. Sora rushes back to find Ty trapped in another nightmare, one of many since Oosant, and helps ground him in the present.

Ty admits the nightmare wasn’t about the past but about today: someone betrays them, and Sora is killed. The confession unsettles Sora, who fears that speaking a nightmare aloud can make it come true, and it also stirs unexpected memories of her parents selling her happiness years ago—making the possibility of freedom feel newly vivid and frighteningly close.

Grim and protective, Ty asks Sora to promise that if the plan collapses, she will run—using her disguise as a courtesan to escape the arena and flee Tamneki without worrying about the others, even him. Though the group has already discussed escape routes based on Mikail’s arena layout, Ty’s personal insistence makes the stakes feel immediate.

Sora promises, even as she insists they will succeed: King Joon will die and Daysum will be freed. Ty kisses her forehead and says he will wait for anything; Sora, unable to fully trust the sudden depth of her feelings yet, answers with a boundary and a hope: anything after today.
