In Oosant, Mikail and Euyn are alerted by urgent pounding at their inn door. Aeri arrives frantic and insists they come immediately, reporting that she, Sora, Ty, and Royo went to a tavern for dinner, were attacked by three men, and Royo was knocked out first. Aeri fears Royo, Sora, and Ty might be dead and begs for help.

Mikail, Euyn, and Aeri rush into the streets, with Aeri leading them back to the alley where the fight happened. They find Ty unconscious but breathing, with a likely broken nose, and Royo face down, also breathing but badly concussed. Mikail uses smelling salts to revive them; Royo wakes in a panic, blade out, shouting for Aeri to run, then realizes Mikail is there.

As Ty demands to know where Sora is, Euyn searches and returns with a scrap of light-blue fabric matching Sora’s dress, confirming she was taken. Aeri recounts that Ty fought but the attackers already had hold of Sora. Euyn notes multiple footprints heading south, indicating a larger group than the three Aeri saw, and Ty’s distress suggests his feelings for Sora may be real.

Mikail pushes them toward immediate action: they need information before they can rescue Sora, and time is critical. They arm up—Ty receives a dagger, and Aeri swaps her battle-axe for a throwing knife while giving the axe to Royo—and head to Hearst Tavern, where the gang was first seen.

At the tavern, Mikail positions Royo and Ty to guard the front and Euyn to cover the back while Mikail questions the staff with Aeri present. When a barmaid denies knowledge, Mikail threatens her with his flame-lit sword; the bartender identifies the city’s ruling gang as the Bulgae. Under pressure, the barmaid admits Sora was taken either to the Barrelhouse in the northern gaming district or to the Bulgae hideout called The Mine in the southern warehouse district. Mikail declares the tavern guilty of colluding in an attack on a “royal courtesan,” orders everyone else to flee, and leaves the father and daughter at his mercy as he exits to act on the lead.
