Royo admits to himself that Aeri matters to him, alongside his stakes in freeing Hwan and protecting Euyn.

During the ride, the group finalized the timeline: tomorrow’s millennial game begins at five bells and ends by eight, and by then King Joon should be dead, with Euyn either on the throne or the crew arrested or killed. While everyone focuses on logistics—especially how to get Sora close enough to Joon—Royo stays fixated on the earlier dead palace assassin and increasingly suspects Mikail. Aeri dismisses the theory and steers them toward finding the others for dinner.

Royo and Aeri knock on Mikail and Euyn’s suite, but Euyn answers after a delay with a loaded crossbow and scans the hall before letting them in. Euyn says Mikail is out on “business” and refuses to go to dinner, preferring they order food in and eat together in the room.
