Sora watches the etherum crown vanish from King Joon’s head and appear in Mikail’s hand, realizing Joon should now be mortal. Acting immediately, Sora leans in and kisses King Joon with lips coated in Heroti, a rare, trace-less poison with no antidote that should mimic a sudden heart attack.

Sora expects King Joon to collapse within moments, but when Sora pulls back, King Joon shows no pain at all and calmly compliments the kiss. Sora recoils in shock as the king sits smiling, bareheaded and untouched by the poison’s effects.

Sora then sees Mikail abruptly slice the crown in half with his flaming sword. The crown pieces fall, and a palace guard strikes Mikail unconscious, leaving Sora confused about Mikail’s actions, Euyn’s absence, and why King Joon is still alive.

King Joon speaks as if this is routine, wondering how many times people will try to kill a god, and orders everyone seized. Palace guards swarm the royal box, dragging Bay Chin away and grabbing Sora.

Ty tells Sora to run and attacks a guard, but multiple guards restrain him and knee him in the stomach before dragging him out. Sora is carried past the shattered remains of the Dragon Lord’s crown, concluding that King Joon truly is a god, Mikail has betrayed them, and their group is now headed for death.
