Chapter 58
Overview
Kai uses stolen Bloom power to rip apart the maze and force his way to the center before the ability burns out. When he arrives, he finds a badly injured Paedyn entering from the opposite side and immediately charging toward a silver-glinting condemned criminal. The chapter brings the final contestants together and sharpens the personal stakes of the maze’s endgame.
Summary
Kai uses the Bloom power he is borrowing to control the maze itself, forcing hedge walls to collapse and sink into the sand so he can carve a direct path forward. He keeps running and tearing the maze apart, ignoring the crowd shouting his name because reaching the center matters more than the spectacle.
As Kai pushes deeper, the borrowed ability begins to weaken. He realizes the Blooms have understood what he is doing and are likely fleeing his range, which causes the power to flicker and finally vanish. Even after it fails completely, Kai forces his way through the last opening he created while the maze starts rebuilding behind him.
Kai reaches the center and finds an open circle of sand with two figures inside it. One is Paedyn, arriving from the opposite side, visibly limping and covered in blood and bruises. Kai moves toward her, but Paedyn never looks at him; instead, she fixes on the silver-glinting criminal in the middle and, despite her injuries, breaks into a sprint toward the person marked for death.
