Millie is forced to stand at attention in the sweltering backyard while Nina hosts Jillianne, Patrice, and Suzanne for a PTA planning meeting. The women obsess over gluten-free options and critique the food. Millie, thirsty and overheated, is not allowed to leave or share their lemonade.

When Patrice complains the flatbreads aren’t warm, Nina blames “her maid” and claims she asked Millie to heat them, then rebukes Millie for speaking and for calling her “Nina,” insisting on “Mrs. Winchester.” The women gossip about the landscaper Enzo, while Nina remains cool and controlling.

Nina boasts she and Andrew are seeing a fertility specialist and expects a baby by year’s end, then abruptly goes inside, appearing emotional. In her absence, the women mock Nina’s weight and visible roots, speculate about keeping Andrew happy, and reveal gossip: an airtight prenup, Andrew never adopted Cecelia, and Nina’s prior psychiatric hospitalization.

Hearing this, Millie feels guilty for judging Nina’s mood swings and reinterprets them as illness. When the women suggest hiring a pretty, young live-in maid invites jealousy, Millie resolves to keep distance from Andrew and avoid any hint of impropriety to protect her position.
