Chapter 13
Contains spoilersOverview
With the family away, Millie seizes a chance to probe Enzo about Nina after discovering antipsychotic medication. Despite offering water and attempting small talk in Italian, Enzo refuses to engage and returns to work. The silence heightens Millie’s suspicion and underscores her lack of trustworthy allies in the house.
Summary
While vacuuming, Millie spots Enzo working outside and decides to approach him. Spurred by neighborhood gossip and the haloperidol she found in Nina’s cabinet, she hopes Enzo can confirm whether Nina has serious mental health issues.
With the family out, Millie brings Enzo a glass of water and attempts conversation, leaning on basic Italian—“ciao,” “acqua,” “grazie.” Enzo shares he has worked for the Winchesters for three years but remains reserved.
Millie directly asks whether Enzo likes Nina, trying to gauge if he thinks Nina is unstable. Enzo narrows his eyes, finishes the water, hands back the glass, and returns to digging without answering.
Recognizing his refusal to talk, Millie concludes Enzo will not share anything now. She is left with growing unease and no new ally or information about Nina.
