Summary
Genevieve ran from her room at midnight, intent on finding Rowin after her memories of Enchantra, Knox, and the cure resurfaced. Salem appeared, startled by her urgency, and questioned her, while Genevieve insisted she needed to warn Rowin and Grave that Knox had taken her memory of the cure and that the King’s magic had returned it. Ophelia appeared on the stairs, and Salem gently sent Ophelia back to bed, allowing Genevieve to leave.
Genevieve hurried through the night toward the Riverwalk, doubting whether Rowin would be there. She found the walkway seemingly empty until Rowin emerged from shadows in a swirl of dark smoke. Recognizing him, she broke down, and Rowin seized her in a fierce embrace, relieved to see recognition on her face after weeks of waiting.
Rowin confessed that though he had endured centuries in the game, the past months without Genevieve had felt longer. They kissed, and Genevieve asked how long he had waited; Rowin admitted he had been lingering there since the day they brought her home. Genevieve confronted him about trading his immortality for her, and he realized she had seen his bargain with the King of Hell.
Genevieve said she had seen everything and regretted not recognizing him earlier in the French Quarter. Rowin admitted he was devastated when she looked at him without memory, though Ophelia had warned him. Genevieve reassured him that even without memories, she felt drawn to him and that they could never be nothing to each other.
Rowin declared that before Genevieve he would have spent eternity alone in Hell, but he preferred a single lifetime in her light. He promised he would have waited forever in that spot until her light returned. Genevieve accepted this truth and asked about strings attached; Rowin affirmed as many as she wanted, and they exchanged playful, intimate banter about being tied down, signaling their rekindled bond.
