Chapter 50
Overview
Nyaxia finally appears before Oraya after the Kejari, and the goddess offers her champion any reward she desires. Confronted with Raihn's death, Vincent's expectations, and the seductive promise of power, Oraya realizes that victory has cost her the person she loves. Instead of claiming strength or status, she asks Nyaxia to make Raihn the winner, a choice that rejects Vincent's values and changes the stakes of her triumph.
Summary
Still kneeling over Raihn's body, Oraya feels Nyaxia's arrival before she looks up. The goddess's presence overwhelms the arena and strips away Oraya's old skepticism, because even the air, sky, and earth seem to bow to Nyaxia. Oraya finally releases Raihn's corpse, stands, and faces Nyaxia, who appears as a terrifyingly beautiful force rather than an ordinary person.
Nyaxia touches Oraya, addresses her as Vincent's daughter and her champion, and offers the promised prize for winning the Kejari. Hearing those words forces Oraya out of her daze and back into the reality of what her victory cost. Nyaxia notices Oraya's grief over Raihn and says she understands the loss of "half of one's soul," framing dead love as something preserved forever and therefore safe from future betrayal.
Nyaxia's words make Oraya confront the trade between love and power. She recognizes that everything she once wanted is available now: strength, safety, and the chance to become someone feared instead of prey. Looking at Vincent, Oraya also understands him more clearly, realizing that he too once stood before Nyaxia and chose ambition through sacrifice, just as Nyaxia forged her own grief into power.
When Nyaxia asks Oraya to name her dream, Oraya chooses against the path Vincent expected. Holding Vincent's gaze, she reveals that her deepest wish is not for power or immortality, but that Raihn had won instead. The request shocks Vincent, and Nyaxia responds with laughter, marking Oraya's refusal to accept victory on the terms that brought her here.
