Instead, he chooses to remain in Lunathion, investigate the truth of the mystic’s identity, and guard her himself. He asks Hypaxia not to tell Bryce about the possible heir, sends Bryce a grateful farewell message, then shifts without pain for the first time in weeks and runs toward the Astronomer’s place to begin watching over the mystic.
