In the Threshold dome, Finch hears an unseen Russian-accented voice and demands the speaker reveal himself. A pneumatic lift rises from the utilities access, delivering a cloaked, mud-caked figure with arms outstretched; the figure accuses Finch of betraying Sasha’s trust and claims to be Sasha’s protector.

The figure suddenly appears to suffer a violent seizure, prompting Langdon and Katherine to plead for help. Finch taunts the incapacitated stranger with the “epilepsy wand,” but the seizure is a feint: the cloaked figure lunges and uses the wand to shock Finch with a flash of blue light, dropping Finch to the floor in agony and partial paralysis.

Langdon recognizes the figure’s forehead inscription—אמת (EMET, “truth”)—and connects it to the Prague legend of the Golěm. Before Langdon can process this, a facility-wide siren and warning lights activate. The figure orders Langdon and Katherine to run, warning that the entire facility is about to explode.

When Katherine protests that the RFID door is locked, the figure searches Finch’s pockets, takes a PRAGUE access card, activates it using Finch’s thumbprint, and gives it to Langdon with a strict twenty-second window. Asked what will happen to him, the figure answers, “I am The Golěm. I have died many times,” and sends them away.

After Langdon and Katherine flee, the Golěm turns to Finch, whom he deems responsible for the project’s abuses. He opens an EPR pod, dumps Finch inside, straps him down, and tells Finch that Finch “created” him. The Golěm seals the pod’s lid, trapping Finch as his muffled screams vanish beneath the wailing alarm.
