Epilogue
Contains spoilersOverview
Wilder narrates a celebratory return to Camp Haven after proposing to Scottie, who now wears his engagement ring. They reconnect with Sanders and fellow campers, reflect on their growth over the past year, and tease plans to fully enjoy the infamous “sex palace” cabin. The epilogue confirms Scottie’s new freelance career, Chad and Danielle’s reconciliation and pregnancy, Wilder’s progress with travel and boundaries, and ends with playful, intimate banter that pays off a running joke.
Summary
At the Camp Haven welcome dinner, Wilder offers Scottie a drink and orders their signature Prickly Pair cocktail. He chats with Sanders Martin, who compliments Wilder’s suit and notes Scottie’s engagement ring. Wilder recalls the proposal: he secretly arranged with Denise and Mika to rent out Stockings, lit the bar with candles, and proposed onstage; Scottie accepted, and they celebrated with friends and family.
Wilder and Scottie requested the same erotic-themed cabin, joking about using all its amenities. Sanders praises Wilder for making Scottie feel seen and building her confidence. Wilder reflects that he cannot help but give Scottie his full attention and affection. He returns to Scottie, admires her painting of their relationship, and they exchange flirtatious banter about the suction-cup dildo in the shower.
Chad approaches with his wife Danielle. It is revealed that Scottie left Butter Putter months earlier to freelance as an editor after giving Sanders insightful feedback on an article; his referrals built her client base, allowing flexible travel. Wilder and Scottie took a ten-day trip to Ireland, a major step for Wilder as he loosened his protective vigilance over Mika; they now plan a trip to Edinburgh.
Chad and Danielle share that her morning sickness has passed; they previously had a difficult year but reconciled, took a trip to the Finger Lakes, and are now expecting a baby. Wilder notes Scottie supported Chad throughout by meeting for lunches to discuss fears and growth. Chad congratulates Wilder and Scottie on the engagement and jokes about their future baby as a ring bearer or flower girl.
Wilder and Scottie continue their playful affection, imagining outfitting Chad’s future child in Butter Putter attire for wedding roles. Wilder suggests revisiting the therapy tent and sleeping naked; Scottie teasingly threatens the return of her “Serial Zipper” persona and resists his plan, keeping the banter light.
Three hours later, in a comedic payoff, the couple finish a shower together and Scottie admits it was “great,” implying she was convinced to try the suction-cup dildo despite her earlier protests. They end in warmth and humor, confirming their intimacy and the secure, joyful state of their relationship.
