The club’s aesthetics include draped mirrors, red lighting, and patrons wearing colored wristbands; she removes her own white band and heads to the bar to ask after Lottie, showing the bartender Lottie’s photo. The bartender is indifferent and pushes a themed drink menu; Alice orders a Heartbreak, discovers it is sugary and fake, and realizes the club is likely a pose rather than a place for real vampires.

A curly-haired girl who initially reminds Alice of Lottie approaches and flirts. The girl notices blood on Alice’s cheek; when Alice fears the girl might ingest it, Alice impulsively licks it off the girl’s finger and, driven by hunger, nicks the fingertip with her sharp teeth. Aroused rather than alarmed, the girl leads Alice into a corridor, urges, “Bite me,” and presents her throat. Alice bites and is immediately overwhelmed by hunger, pressing the girl to the wall and drinking greedily despite having fed only hours earlier.

Someone forcibly pulls Alice away. The girl collapses into a chair, pale and shaken, while a spiky-haired man and the bartender tend to her, dismissing the episode as “too much too fast” and implying patrons forget to eat. Alice, horrified by how quickly she lost control, notices other couples using plastic fangs, confirming the club’s vampirism is performative.

The spiky-haired man drags Alice to the back door, telling her she is in the wrong place, and pushes her into the cold alley. Realizing that a wrong place implies a right one, Alice asks where to go. He refuses specifics but, when pressed, repeats a set line he was instructed to give “someone like you”: follow the music. He leaves before Alice can show Lottie’s picture, and the door shuts, stranding her outside with only the hint that others like her exist somewhere nearby.
