They push into Eros’ casino levels, where evacuation sweeps have packed crowds into confined spaces. Tension ignites into gunfire as fake cops and panicked civilians clash. Miller keeps Holden close through the surging mob while they angle toward the ramps leading to the docks.

When an isolated thug aims to finish a wounded teenager, Holden charges and empties his pistol, only to see the rounds stopped by chest armor. Before the thug can kill Holden, Miller drops him with a shot to the neck. Holden tries to save the teen, but Miller confirms the boy is dead, underscoring the brutality and chaos engulfing the station.

Reaching the corridor to the docks, they find two ranks of heavily armed soldiers mowing down anyone who approaches. With a clear field of fire and no cover, Miller counts dozens of guns and concludes they can’t break through. Their route to the Rocinante is sealed, leaving Holden and Miller trapped and running out of time.
