- A group of people meet at a beach in Aberdeen at night
- Struan arrives with Fong and see a bag containing the mutilated body of Scragger
- Wu Kwok appears and says he wants Struan alive and to come to Quemoy with him
- A group of pirates with spears and machetes approach Struan and Fong
- Struan shoots a few of them before being overpowered and taken away
- Struan plans to return to England soon
- He will marry May-May, even if it's the last thing he does
- Struan thinks the key to Hong Kong is in London
