Watchmen Stefano Gregorovich and Rico arrive, scan Lyria, draw a gun when she reaches for identification, and cuff her as a crowd—some Vox watchers—gathers. Agilla threatens to use connections; a wagon is called, and unrest brews.

As Lyria is loaded into the wagon, a limping Gray, Philippe, intervenes. Speaking as a former Watchman and veteran, he bonds with Stefano and argues that arresting Lyria will spark trouble. Stefano releases Lyria, the crowd disperses, and the crisis passes.
