Livira wakes up in a chamber of a large book repository, having fallen and injured herself earlier.
An assistant looks after her, giving her a rare book, Reflections on Solitude. Livira learns that there are two identical copies of this book in the library.
Livira is in pain from her fall, but the assistant explains that being in the center of the chamber will reverse any recent damage.
Livira tries to find her lost bird, Arpix, but the assistant is unable to help and leaves. Nonetheless, he tells her how to exit the chamber.
In her frustrating quest to find the exit, Livira encounters an immovable metallic figure, which reminds her of the trouble her bird may be in.
Eventually, Livira exits the labyrinth-like venue and is helped by library guards. She inquires about her schoolmates who were supposed to be ahead of her, but the guards haven’t seen anyone.
Tired and hungry, Livira makes her way back to her school, hoping to present the book she found to her master, Logaris.
Upon reaching the school, she sleeps due to extreme exhaustion and when she wakes up, struggles to find her classmates.
Just as their master is about to assign punishment for their tardiness, Livira interrupts and hands over the found book, Reflections on Solidade, thereby saving her classmates from penalties.
The students are praised for their efforts and are promised a place in master Logaris’s class for their commitment.
