Ilya distracts Price by sharing his iPad and headphones to watch Fast Five with subtitles, and Price calms down enough to sit still and even order a Coke. Ilya admits to himself that traveling to Montreal makes him tense for another reason: anticipation of seeing Shane Hollander.

In Montreal before the game, Shane’s teammates amp up the rivalry with Boston and worry about Ilya starting trouble, while fans outside the arena burn an effigy of Ilya. Shane completes the usual pregame NBC interview and then checks his phone, where “Lily” (Ilya’s contact name) sends a crude, taunting text. Although Shane knows it is manipulative before a game, he replies anyway, and Ilya continues teasing him by text until Shane cuts it off, promising to message after the game.

After the game, Ilya follows Shane’s instructions to an abandoned-looking building and waits at a back door.
