Darrow notices a holo of Harmony under interrogation, hinting at secret prisoners. The Jackal vents about logistics and media, proposing to leverage Darrow’s myth. Darrow agrees to public appearances and reveals he has brought gifts.

He presents Victra a custom scent, Petrichor, cementing personal goodwill. As the Jackal opens his own gift, alarms blare. A flash-bang and masked intruders—Sons of Ares—burst through a melted window, killing Grays and stunning Ragnar. One forces the Jackal at gunpoint to surrender the mainframe code; Sevro restrains from killing him, awaiting Darrow’s cue.

Darrow performs a staged firefight, exchanging harmless shots. The raiders withdraw with speed and cohesion, leaving dead Grays and a shaken room. Victra and the Jackal find the doors locked by the hijacked mainframe. The Jackal slams himself against the door in rage until Darrow pulls him back.

Reeling, the Jackal claims “terrorists” came for captured Sons: Harmony, a Pink assassin from Luna, and a Violet Carver, saying he was close to breaking them. Victra bristles that he concealed prisoners; Darrow loudly doubts the Sons’ capability to mask his collusion, pushing the Jackal to question how the breach occurred.

Pressed, the Jackal discovers his security chief, Sun-hwa, is missing, her men dead, and money moved to her accounts—exactly the trail Darrow intended. In truth, Sun-hwa lies dead aboard the escaping shuttle carrying Fitchner, Sevro, and the freed captives. Watching the ship vanish into the mountains, Darrow vows to exterminate the “rats” with the Jackal—after the Sovereign—tightening trust while guarding his double allegiance.
