The young trooper, David Trautmann, reveals his sister Tiffany is trapped in Glasgow and gives Logan her address. Avoiding main roadblocks, Logan hides near the Milk River and waits for nightfall.

He rafts into town under cover of darkness, observes National Guard patrols, and dons a hazmat suit for cover. Moving through fearful, marked households, he locates Tiffany’s address, enters the dark home, and discovers her husband Chris dead upstairs. Tiffany, in shock with a broken jaw, describes acute body aches and unnaturally vivid memories, matching Logan’s early upgrade symptoms. Logan swabs Chris and Tiffany for DNA and promises to relay David’s message.

As Logan departs, an upgraded man ambushes him, disarms him, and fatally shoots Tiffany when she appears. A vicious fight ensues; Logan realizes the attacker anticipated his route. Near collapse, Logan crushes the man’s trachea, then performs an improvised tracheotomy to keep him alive to extract information.

Identifying himself only as Andrew, the attacker types that he worked with Kara and was tasked with transporting Logan. Under duress, Andrew provides a lead near Silverton, Colorado (58 Eolus Way). Soldiers enter the house, forcing Logan to flee through backyards and fields, evading searchers and returning toward his hidden approach.

As he crawls away injured, Logan reflects that Glasgow marks the first battle in a gene-driven war. The outbreak isn’t contaminated meat but a human upgrade spreading through the town, escalating the conflict from personal stakes to the future trajectory of the species.
