Rune and Gideon enter the tiny cabin they must share aboard the Arcadia and immediately realize how cramped and intimate the arrangement will be. Before they can settle in, police begin searching the corridor cabin by cabin, trapping them with no clear escape route.

Because the officers may have descriptions of their clothing, Rune orders Gideon to undress out of his recognizable suit and tries to remove her wedding dress before the police reach them. When the laces are too tight, Gideon grudgingly helps her, and their argument over Rune’s secrecy quickly turns charged as the physical closeness exposes their mutual tension.

The police knock before they are ready. While Gideon opens the door and stalls them by playing the role of an annoyed husband, Rune strips out of the dress, hides it, cuts her leg, and uses blood magic to cast an illusion over herself. The officers address them as the Sharpes, reinforcing their cover as newlyweds.

When an officer pushes the door wider and looks directly at Rune in her underwear, Gideon steps in front of him, throws his shirt over Rune, and shields both her body and the visible signs of her magic. The officers then show a locket containing Rune’s portrait and ask if either of them has seen the girl. Both Gideon and Rune deny recognizing her, and Gideon forcefully ends the encounter by slamming the door.

After the officers leave, Rune thanks Gideon for protecting her. Their relief gives way to another charged moment as they look at each other in the confined room, both visibly affected by the closeness. Gideon breaks the tension by pulling on a sweater from Soren’s suitcase and leaving to ask for another cabin, while Rune knows there is no alternative and is left dreading two nights alone with him.
