Instead of killing everyone, the blast transforms inside the Sheol glass case into a new inventory item, Carl's Doomsday Scenario, an unstable bomb with an imminent detonation timer. Carl burns his hand grabbing the case and shoving it into his inventory, then learns the crisis is not over when Remex starts convulsing with his own twenty-minute countdown and a precursor burst strips the magical properties from equipped gear.

The system explains that four foreshocks will hit before a final wild-magic explosion. Carl tries to escape through the trap door, but the floor collapses, dropping him among deactivated armor after the first burst disables the guards. He, Donut, and then a growing group of crawlers run east while Carl warns everyone through quest chat to remove magical equipment; Mordecai confirms that worn magic is dangerous, inventory is only somewhat safer, and the Desperado Club safe route has been sealed off, leaving the stairwell to the next floor as the only escape.

As the group sprints through town, the second pulse kills Conrad E when forgotten magical arrows explode on his body. The runners fend off Ruin Flockers without slowing, and Carl keeps pressing Donut to remove the Sepsis Crown before it harms her. Donut finally agrees after Katia backs Carl up, and the crown vanishes because of its Fleeting property. Soon after, a third pulse destroys any armor still being worn, confirming that every burst is turning magical equipment into a new threat.

The fourth pulse hits just as the group reaches the decrepit building with the stairwell. It activates abilities and hotlist items unpredictably: lightning nearly kills one crawler, another teleports away, Katia involuntarily triggers Rush and smashes through a wall, and Carl and Donut auto-drink potions from their inventories, suffering potion sickness and poison after their usual protections fail. Carl heals an injured man, Daniel Bautista arrives with more survivors, and Carl orders everyone down the stairs because waiting any longer means death.

While the crowd descends, Carl messages Mordecai, who says the NPCs appear safe and realizes finishing the floor means he is one step closer to eventual freedom. Carl reflects on the people they have met and lost on this floor, then has Katia trigger the remote detonator he gave her earlier in hopes that their planted dynamite might still earn shared experience. With seconds left before Remex's final detonation, Carl, Donut, Mongo, and Katia open the door to the next floor and leave, while Donut gleefully reminds Carl that he is still completely naked.
