Demon, Maggot, and a meth-fueled, armed Hammer drive into a storm toward Devil’s Bathtub to find Fast Forward. Hammer is intent on revenge over Emmy. Demon, uneasy and suspecting Rose may have lured them, nonetheless follows, nursing knee pain as they tackle dangerous creek crossings in flood.

Two shirtless General friends on the trail report Fast Forward is at the waterfall with Big Bear. Demon resists the temptation to follow them back to dry dope and pushes on to rejoin Maggot and Hammer at the roaring pool carved into rock.

At the Bathtub, Fast Forward is naked, showboating high on a cliff, while Hammer screams insults from below. When Big Bear appears and yells a warning, Fast Forward startles, slips, then chooses a desperate dive and smashes onto rock, dying instantly.

Hammer refuses to accept a death and jumps into the torrent to attempt a rescue. The current overpowers him; after surfacing briefly, he is carried downstream and drowns. Big Bear scrambles to the ledge; Demon sends Maggot and Big Bear to the truck to call for help.

Alone, Demon kicks Hammer’s rifle into the depths to remove the weapon from the scene, then crosses and drags Hammer’s body to a rock ledge near Fast Forward’s. He preserves Hammer’s face for the family, waits for rescue, and reckons with guilt and the lasting damage this moment will inflict on all of them.
