After an all-night drive, Jason, Daniela, and Charlie sit in their damaged Suburban and agree they must leave their world. They head to the abandoned facility on Chicago’s South Side where the box is housed, Jason carrying a jammed pistol and Jason2’s leather bag. As they descend to the generator room, they discover dozens of Jasons waiting—arrived early for the proposed lottery.

Though panic rises, Daniela takes the gun, links arms with Jason, and tells Charlie to hold tight. When a Jason demands the lottery, Daniela refuses, citing the violence against them, including shots fired at their car with Charlie inside. Another Jason argues that Daniela’s and Charlie’s choice matters most, and the crowd parts, emotionally divided, allowing the family to pass. Jason, Daniela, and Charlie enter the box as the Jasons watch in devastated silence, and Jason locks the door.

Inside, Jason prepares and administers Ryan’s drug to Charlie, himself, and then Daniela, explaining the effect will last about an hour. They step into the infinite corridor of doors. Jason reassures Charlie and Daniela, recalling his own initial horror and wonder at the corridor’s liminal nature.

With time running short, Daniela raises the risk that other Jasons, who think like Jason, might follow them into their next world. To avoid that, Jason and Daniela ask Charlie to open the next door so the path is uniquely theirs. Jason frames the box like life: go in with fear, and fear is what you’ll find. Empowered by his parents’ trust, Charlie approaches a door while Jason and Daniela sit together, calm and hopeful.

Charlie opens the door. Light floods the corridor, carrying the scent of wet earth and unknown flowers—a world washed by a recent storm. Jason and Daniela rise, join their son at the threshold, and prepare to step into the new world together.
