In Chapter 26 of Catch-22, Nately falls in love with his prostitute and tries to convince her to stay with him, but she refuses. Meanwhile, Yossarian is injured in a bombing mission and is brought to the hospital. He and Dunbar attempt to switch beds with lower-ranked soldiers in order to change their identities, but they are caught by Nurses Cramer and Duckett.
