Zetian regains consciousness in the deformed cockpit of the wrecked Yellow Dragon beside Qin Zheng, both alive but no longer in the mortal realm. They sense countless spirit signatures around them, including Shimin's nearby. With insufficient spirit metal for a Chrysalis, they decide to fight in their armor. Cutting open the cockpit wall, they discover they have crashed inside a gargantuan ring-shaped space habitat with lower gravity, encased in transparent hexagons, with their own planet looming above as a celestial backdrop.

Drones and animal-like ground machines descend on them, firing smart bullets that bounce off their spirit-metal armor. Qin Zheng forges twin swords and bat-like wings; Zetian does the same. They burst out and Qin Zheng demonstrates terrifying combat skill honed since childhood, shredding the machines while Zetian fights at his back, exhausted from the ascent. They notice the ring's hexagonal breach is repairing itself.

Hunting spirit signatures, they break into a luxurious home with hovering furniture, glowing plants, neon symbols, and warm half-eaten food. Instead of a god, they find only a strangely colored cat-like creature. Digital family portraits reveal pale, oddly featured but ordinary-looking humans, confirming Qin Zheng's belief that the "gods" are simply humans with advanced technology.

Smashing through more of the building, they reach an atrium with a massive aquarium of bioluminescent fish (the source of many signatures) and burst onto the rooftop as the sun crests the planet. A drone offers them refugee status in the "Melian Republic" and displays Shimin in his tank as leverage. Zetian destroys it, refusing to be manipulated. Qin Zheng declares himself Emperor of Huaxia and demands the heavenly tyrants face them.

A sleek vehicle approaches, broadcasting "DO NOT ATTACK." They prepare for their first encounter with the gods—but the figure who emerges in heels and a red robe is Yizhi, greeting them as "Your Majesties."
